Island, the largest ofthe Bay Islands in Honduras, with Utila and Guanaja as sister islands. Roatan
Island is 36 miles long, less than 1 mile wide at its widest point
and is located 30 miles off the Honduran coast.

The main town on Roatan is Coxen Hole, which is the location for the Islands Municipal and government department levels and has the largest number of inhabitants. Other important towns include French Harbor, West End, West Bay, Punta Gorda and Oak Ridge.

Roatan Island consists of hills covered by lush vegetation with spectacular vista views of its many white sand beach's fringed by coconut trees. The crystal clear water of the Caribbean offers untold numbers of tropical fish and larger reef creatures .It's barrier reef is the second largest in the world with large varieties of coral, sponges of different colors, coral caves, amazing slopes, sheered walls and wrecks to explore. The Bay Islands are a popular destination for tourists wishing to Dive, snorkel and try new water sports.
